Prevention And Suppression Of Terrorism

Coming into force in accordance with article 1

This Order is made in exercise of the power conferred on the Secretary of State by section 3(3)(a) of the Terrorism Act 2000( 1 ).

The Secretary of State believes that the organisation to be added to Schedule 2 to that Act by article 2 of this Order is concerned in terrorism.

In accordance with section 123(4)(a) of that Act, a draft of this Order was laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.

Accordingly, the Secretary of State makes the following Order—

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Terrorism Act 2000 (Proscribed Organisations) (Amendment) Order 2010 and shall come into force on the day after the day on which it is made.

Proscribed organisations

2. In Schedule 2 to the Terrorism Act 2000 (Proscribed Organisations) ( 2 ), at the end add “Al Shabaab”.
