The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 115(3) and (4) of the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012( 1 ).

Citation, commencement and application

1. —(1) This Order may be cited as the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 (Consequential Amendments) Order 2012 and comes into force on 1st October 2012.

(2) This Order applies as respects England only.

Amendment of the Functions of Traffic Wardens Order 1970

2.The Functions of Traffic Wardens Order 1970( 2 ) is amended as follows.

3. In article 3(4)(b) for “land in the open air” substitute “other land”.

4. In paragraph 4 of the Schedule for “land in the open air” substitute “other land”.

Amendment of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles (Traffic Officers) (England) Regulations 2008

5.The Removal and Disposal of Vehicles (Traffic Officers) (England) Regulations 2008( 3 ) are amended as follows.

6. In regulation 8 for “land in the open air” substitute “other land”.
