The Bathing Water (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2016

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972( 1 ).
The Secretary of State is designated( 2 ) for the purposes of that section of that Act in relation to the environment.
Citation and commencement
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Bathing Water (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2016 and come into force on 20th June 2016.
Amendment to the Bathing Water Regulations 2013
2. In Part 1 of Schedule 2 (surface waters in England) to the Bathing Water Regulations 2013( 3 )—
(a) for “Burnham Jetty”, substitute “Burnham Jetty North”;
(b) for “Hastings”, substitute “Hastings Pelham Beach”;
(c) for “Mounts Bay Heliport”, substitute “Mounts Bay Long Rock”;
(d) in the appropriate places, insert—
(i) “West Runton”;
(ii) “Windermere, Rayrigg Meadow”;
(e) omit the following—
(i) “Lyme Regis Church Cliff Beach”;
(ii) “Newhaven”;
(iii) “Rock”;
(iv) “Staithes”.

S.I. 2013/1675 , amended by S.I. 2014/2363 ; there are other amending instruments but none is relevant.
