The Secretary of State for Health and Social Care makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 176(1) and (2)(c) and 272(7) of the National Health Service Act 2006( 1 ).
Citation and commencement
1. These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Dental Charges) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 and come into force on 1st April 2019.
Amendment of the National Health Service (Dental Charges) Regulations 2005
2. β(1)The National Health Service (Dental Charges) Regulations 2005( 2 ) are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 4 (calculations of charges)β
(a) in paragraph (1), for βΒ£21.60β substitute βΒ£22.70β;
(b) in paragraph (2), for βΒ£59.10β substitute βΒ£62.10β;
(c) in paragraph (3), for βΒ£256.50β substitute βΒ£269.30β;
(d) in paragraph (4), for βΒ£256.50β substitute βΒ£269.30β;
(e) in paragraph (5), for βΒ£21.60β substitute βΒ£22.70β.
(3) In regulation 12A (charges in respect of primary dental services provided under a prototype agreement), in paragraph (2), for βΒ£21.60β substitute βΒ£22.70β.

2006 c.41 . Section 176 of the National Health Service Act 2006 (βthe 2006 Actβ) was amended by paragraph 94 of Schedule 4 to the Health and Social Care Act 2012 (c.7) . The powers conferred by these sections are exercisable by the Secretary of State only in relation to England, by virtue of section 271(1) of the 2006 Act. See section 275(1) of the 2006 Act for the definitions of βprescribedβ and βregulationsβ that are relevant to the powers being exercised.
