The Taking Control of Goods (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021

The Lord Chancellor makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 77(4) and 90 of the Tribunals, Courts and Enforcement Act 2007( 1 ):
Citation, commencement, extent and saving provision
(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales.
(3) Nothing in these Regulations affects any enforcement action taken prior to the coming into force of these Regulations.
Amendments to the Taking Control of Goods Regulations 2013
2. —(1)Regulation 52 of the Taking Control of Goods Regulations 2013( 2 ) is amended as follows.
(2) For sub-paragraphs (a) and (b) of paragraph (2), substitute—
“ (a) 457 days’ rent where the notice of enforcement is given on or before 23rd June 2021; and
(b) 554 days’ rent where the notice of enforcement is given on or after 24th June 2021. ” .
(3) For sub-paragraphs (a) and (b) of paragraph (2A), substitute—
“ (a) 457 days’ rent where the goods are taken control of for the first time on or before 23rd June 2021; and
(b) 554 days’ rent where the goods are taken control of for the first time on or after 24th June 2021. ” .
