The Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) (Amendment) Regulations 2022

1st January 2023

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by article 97(1) of the Air Navigation Order 2016( 1 ), makes the following Regulations.

Citation and commencement

1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) (Amendment) Regulations 2022 and come into force on 1st January 2023.

(2) These Regulations extend to England and Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland.

Amendment of Regulations

2.The Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) Regulations 2002( 2 ) are amended by substituting for the definition of “Technical Instructions” in regulation 3(1)—

Technical Instructions ” means the 2023-2024 English language edition of the Technical Instructions for the Safe Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air ( 3 ) , approved and published by decision of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organisation; .

Revocation

3.Regulation 2(2)(a) of the Air Navigation (Dangerous Goods) (Amendment) Regulations 2021( 4 ) is revoked.
