The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment) Regulations 2006

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by sections 41(1), (2) and (5) of the Road Traffic Act 1988 ( 1 ).

In accordance with section 195(2) of that Act, he has consulted with representative organisations.

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) (Amendment) Regulations 2006 and shall come into force on 1st August 2006.

Amendment of the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986

2. —(1) Schedule 7B to the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 ( 2 ) shall be amended as follows.

(2) In paragraph 7, for sub-paragraph (b) there shall be substituted the following sub-paragraph—

(b) “the emissions publication” is the publication entitled “In Service Exhaust Emission Standards for Road Vehicles – Twelfth Edition” ( ISBN 0-9549352-1-7 on or before 31st December 2006 and from 1st January 2007 ISBN 978-09549352-1-4) published by the Department for Transport.
