Energy Conservation

The Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information (Amendment) Regulations 2015

Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1

The Secretary of State is a Minister designated( 1 ) for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972( 2 ) in relation to the environmental aspects of product design and makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by that section.

Citation and commencement

(2) Subject to paragraph (3), these Regulations come into force on 1st July 2015.

(3) Regulations 2(3) and 3 come into force on 1st January 2016.

(2) After item 22 insert—

“ 23 A small, medium or large power transformer Commission Regulation ( EU ) No 548/2014 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to ecodesign requirements for small, medium and large power transformers ( 4 ) ” .

(3) After item 23 (as inserted by paragraph (2)) insert—

“ 24 A ventilation unit Commission Regulation (EU) No 1253/2014 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to ecodesign requirements for ventilation units ( 5 ) ” .

Amendment of the Energy Information Regulations 2011

3. —(1) The table at Schedule 1 (EU measures) to the Energy Information Regulations 2011( 6 ) is amended as follows.

(2) After the entry relating to domestic ovens and range hoods insert—

“ Residential ventilation units Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1254/2014 supplementing Directive 2010/30/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council with regard to energy labelling of residential ventilation units ( 7 ) 1st January 2016 ” .
