The Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty in Council

This Order is made by Her Majesty in Council in exercise of the power conferred by section 87(7) of the Northern Ireland Act 1998( 1 ).

Her Majesty considers it expedient to modify section 87(6) of that Act.

Accordingly Her Majesty, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, makes the following Order.

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Northern Ireland Act 1998 (Modification) Order 2016 and comes into force on 3rd March 2016.

Modification of the Northern Ireland Act 1998

2. In section 87(6) (consultation and co-ordination) of the Northern Ireland Act 1998 at the end addβ€”

β€œ (x) the Welfare Reform Act 2012 ( 2 ) and the Welfare Reform (Northern Ireland) Order 2015 ( 3 ) ;

(y) the Pensions Act 2014 ( 4 ) and the Pensions Act (Northern Ireland) 2015 ( 5 ) ;

(z) the Pension Schemes Act 2015 ( 6 ) and the Pension Schemes Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 ( 7 ) . ” .
