The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by section 103(2)(a) of the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012( 1 ).
Citation and commencement
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Recovery of Costs (Remand to Youth Detention Accommodation) (Amendment) Regulations 2019 and come into force on 1st April 2019.
Amendment to the Recovery of Costs (Remand to Youth Detention Accommodation) Regulations 2013
2. Regulation 3 of the Recovery of Costs (Remand to Youth Detention Accommodation) Regulations 2013( 2 ) is amended as follows—
(a) in paragraph (4)(e), after “2018” insert “(but before 1st April 2019)”;
(b) after paragraph (4)(e), insert—
“ (f) on or after 1st April 2019, £240. ” ;
(c) in paragraph 5, for the second sub-paragraph (i) substitute—
“ (j) on or after 1st April 2018 (but before 1st April 2019), £546;
(k) on or after 1st April 2019, £612. ” ;
(d) in paragraph (6)(g), after “2018” insert “(but before 1st April 2019)”;
(e) after paragraph (6)(g) insert—
“ (h) on or after 1st April 2019, £699. ” .
