The Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information (Amendment) Regulations 2019

The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972( 1 ).
The Secretary of State is a Minister designated for the purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in relation to energy and energy sources( 2 ).
Citation and commencement
1. —(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information (Amendment) Regulations 2019.
(2) This regulation and regulation 3 come into force on the 21st day after the day on which these Regulations are laid before Parliament.
(3) Regulation 2 comes into force on 1st March 2020.
Amendment of the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products Regulations 2010
2. In paragraph 4 of Schedule 1 to the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products Regulations 2010( 3 ) (declaration of conformity)—
(a) in the first column of entry 18 in the table, omit “or a computer server”;
(b) at the end of the table insert—
| “ 30 | A server or an online data storage product | Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/424 of 15 March 2019 laying down ecodesign requirements for servers and data storage products pursuant to Directive 2009/125/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council and amending ( Commission Regulation (EU) No 617/2013 4 ) ” . |
Amendment of the Energy Information Regulations 2011
3. In the table in Schedule 1 to the Energy Information Regulations 2011( 5 ) (EU measures), omit the entry for vacuum cleaners.
